Tea tree oil is an essential oil obtained by steam distillation and extraction from the leaves of Melaleuca in Australia. This is clearly an essential oil with a camphor smell fresh. Australian aborigines used tea leaves for healing skin cuts, burns, sore throat, skin diseases and infections by crushing the leaves and its application to the affected area.
